200 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Are you passionate about yoga? Do you feel drawn to learning more and perhaps sharing your passion with others as a career? Our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is fully certified with Yoga Alliance Professionals and internationally recognised professional qualification on the Integral Application of Hatha Yoga. The course will emphasise the healing and therapeutic aspects of Hatha Yoga, enabling students to develop a solid foundation in the practises of Hatha Yoga and develop the skills and confidence to develop their own authentic and individual teaching style. Through part-time study over 12 months, you will learn Eastern and Western Physiology and Psychology, learn how to create a wide variety of yoga classes for students of all levels and abilities, and find your voice and authentic teaching style.

VINYASA YOGA TEACHING INTENSIVE (50 CPD HOURS) WITH DAWN WRIGHT

This 4-day immersion is aimed at teachers and teachers in training who want to develop or deepen their skills to teach safe, inspiring, and creatively sequenced vinyasa flow classes. Through personal practice, lectures, discussions and group teaching exercises we will explore the key components of vinyasa flow yoga, and how to plan and deliver these as teachers.

Key content of the course will be:

What is Vinyasa flow yoga – origins and inspirations,

Sequencing 1: Understanding the basic template structure of a great vinyasa class,

Sequencing 2: How to create safe and inspiring vinyasa sequences, including the use of the use of marker poses and peak poses, and vinyasa krama

  • The language of Vinyasa flow yoga – choice of words, different types of instructional techniques, and how to weave a thread with your language.
  • How to adapt your classes and teach to different levels of students
  • Pacing, Flow and Transitions
  • Safe and effective adjustments within Vinyasa Flow
  • Discovering the Vinyasa teacher inside of yourself

This teacher training immersion will be an interactive learning experience, encouraging you to find your own voice, confidence and style as a vinyasa teacher, within a supportive training environment.

There will be some pre and post-course hours to complete as part of the non-contact hours of this course.

This Teaching Immersion in Yin Yoga creates space to explore the practice and experience of yin yoga. Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today. In this Immersion, we will explore Yin sequencing, understanding the use of props and modifications in teaching Yin, deeper teaching skills of language usage and holding space, the history and concepts of Yin Yoga, Chinese Meridian theory, exploring fascia and skeletal variations in Yin, and meditation practices. The course includes a mixture of experiential Yin Practice, lectures, group discussions and teaching practice exercises – ensuring you to go away armed with everything you need to teach this wonderful and hugely popular style of yoga. Each day will include experiential Yin Practice as well as Meditation Practices.
